Post 10 (week 15) >> Evaluation of your Blogging Experience

Hello again people, for this occasion I bring my last post. This time I will talk about my experience performing blogs for English 3 in my case this for me has been a torture, I do not have a good command of English, so each session is for me of great difficulty. While I understand English I find it difficult to speak English and that's why I feel at a disadvantage at the pace that carries the course.

In my opinion my English skills have remained up even could say that I have noticed certain setback that worries me and it's obviously something I'm planning to improve either here at the university or with some external.

In future I would like to add ... nothing. I feel that English has progressed compared to last semester, where if I noticed of shortcomings, and at least these have been modified and managed to improve.

And as for new topics to write, I feel we missed a few topics important or interesting to write as is "My best friend" or "the best day of my life" to give some examples.

That's all for this semester, I hope never to write in this blog and thanks for all miss!! :D

Post 9 (week 13) "My favorite Subject this Semester"

Hello everyone

Today I am going to talk about my favorite Subject this Semester, Simulations II.

This semester Simulations have been a little more complicated subject than last semester because new specialties have joined plan annual classes and Fixed Prosthetics, periodontics and Endodontics.

Each week beginning teachers these specialties, guide me in my preclinical activities as my professor of on Mondays, Valeria Rojas who specializes in biomaterials, my professor of every Tuesday, Claudio Mendez specialist in periodontics and removable prosthesis…that is to say a crack. And my professor of on Wednesdays Josefa Castro, who specializes in Endodontics, the last subject of Simulations II

Simulations I like it because it is the only practical subject of this Semester, where I polished my skills and increase my clinical knowledge.

The trouble was that during the year I had to make huge expenditures of money, I have a benefit called P. A. E. from which I get 45,000 monthly, the sad thing is that money most of the time I had to destine for the purchase of materials, as if they were very cheap :c

For the new semester I hope to learn about radiology, surgery, removable prosthesis, we will practice anesthesia among my peers, to use the articulator, and we will perform also impressions between us. That would be great!!

I hope I can do well and have a new semester without mishap, exempting of all if possible, but more important is to learn as much knowledge because the day of tomorrow will serve patients and they will merit the best care.

Post 8 >> How Green Are You?

Hello everyone

Today I am going to talk about of Green culture, at school they taught me something recycle, such as collecting cardboard boxes, glass, cans and paper and later take them to collection centers that were in the parking lot of a supermarket. I remember that I did not participate much, I did not have the habit inculcated but now it's different, now I manage my waste as a separate cardboard, paper, plastic bottles.

Also tried where possible, reduce my common expenses, as is electricity, because I have the precaution of turning off lights that do not deal, charge my electronic items only the necessary and as for the water I have carefully of make short showers, take care of the water when I wash faience wares or when I brush my teeth.

To go to the university I walk, being that I live a block from my faculty…it's no big deal.

I did not joined any organization or sympathized for some, also do not know of any group but if the opportunity be given I would like to be part.

I would in the future have in my future home solar panels, I think it's a very good investment that could make. In this way considerably reduce my electricity bill to be using a renewable energy such as the solar energy

To reduce my carbon footprint I have thought about to decrease my costs on sheets of paper to the lower my number of prints of transcripts.

Santiago is needed reduce traffic congestion, and for this we good policies that are being take as is the bicycle rentals in several points of the city.

Post 7 (week 7) >> My Future Job

Hello guys today I am going to talk about my future job, as you may know study dentistry, a career that ends with my dentist title which shall be my job for the rest of my life but still a long way to go for that to happen.

I can imagine the day as a dentist in a hospital, polyclinic or CESFAM of our country, responsible for a working group or directly as the owner of my own private consultation.

I don’t know, only time will tell what will happen.

I also like to travel to other locations as part of the NGO dentists without borders and thereby know more about the reality of our country and other countries of the region because dentists without borders is a global NGO with extensive networks in South America. I think it's a beautiful experience that I would like to live.

Then dedicate some time to public health I would look for a specialization as oral restorer, because I like this area of dentistry. It is specialization that I have in mind for the moment, although this decision can change, I still lacking subjects for review and who knows, maybe meet some other area that I love.

1. What do you think about compulsive spenders?

I think that compulsive buyers must have some behavioral and psychological problem, since often buy things that they do not need and do not even get to use, it's just the fact of wanting to spend the money just for the sake of spending, with nothing more than background although. I do not think it's bigger problem if you have the money to do it, but if you dont have enough money to do it, because you have to pay bills or buy goods needed for the house, you can not afford to spend per spend, in this case it would be a problem, not only to the individual but his entire family.

2. What's the most common problem a Dentistsv face along their career?

The problems which most dentists have to live are:

-              Angry patients

-              Back problems

-              Lack of patients during their training

-              The high costs of their dental materials

-              The high cost of the same career…5.070.000 Oh my god!

-              The high difficulty of the career because need an excessive amount of study

-              This career is stressful.

Post 8 (week 11) >> SUMMER PLANS

On this occasion today I am going to talk about my summer plans, for this new summer I would like first of all to visit my family in Coquimbo, pass New Year at home. I plan to spend the first half of January there, hang out with my school friends who long time not see, enjoy the beaches of the coast, go to tongoy and guanaqueros to contribute to the local economy.

Also I have to go see my grandparents who live in the countryside around of Monte Patria, been so long since my last visit. Also with my family we will travel to any destination although we have no yet clear where.

February on the contrary is clear by then I have planned to go with my partner Denny to TTVV FECH in Pichidegua VI region, this is an activity that I hope a lot during the year because last summer when I went I learned many things in my career, I attended real patients and I could meet new people from my university, even learned things that are taught me this year in the U.

In Pichidegua I'll be the first half of February, after that I will return to Coquimbo and with the return to university over, so I plan to read the books that were my Uncle Nelson on fixed prosthesis and dental occlusion…It is just an idea hahaha

1. Which of the three skills is more challenging for you?

In relation to the first question I find it more difficult the audios

2. What task was the most difficult for you? Why?

In relation to the second question the most difficult task for me was the audios because in my school never develop this skill and now I'm paying the consequences.

3. What was the easiest? Why?

In relation to the third question the reading activities are the easiest for me because I played of little various computer games in English. Thanks games, something useful that do. 

POST 7 (week 9) - THEMED POST N° 3 "My Favorite Food"

Hello everybody

On this occasion today I am going to talk about my favorite food. There are many foods that I like but now I live in Santiago too much strange foods based on seafood, my favorites are the ceviche and fried fish, although much more I like the ceviche.

Living in Santiago am little I can eat ceviche in contrast if you were in my house Coquimbo, fortunately one block from my house, opened a new cevicheria this year and yes… the food is good.

Also I have other options as Peruvian gastronomy that abounds here in Independence, their ceviches are very good, but the price goes up depending on the local, so my stay here in Santiago becomes more enjoyable.

In some occasion I ceviche at home, my mother taught me, good is not very difficult, have to filleting, then the fish is cut into craps, after having it cut is placed in a bowl with lemon juice, then we chop onion, cilantro and parsley that add to the bowl of fish, then it is time to review the dressings. Generally it uses black pepper, a little garlic powder and hints of pepper.

I like to use to serve a base of lettuce coupled with slices of avocado, ending with the preparation of “Mayo Casera” to serve the ceviche, but that's another story.

PET Practice

1. My performance in the activities of understanding went very regular, I got a performance of about 50%, so for me this activity was high medium difficulty, certain words that had not mastered its meaning, were fundamental to the understanding of the text (that it was not difficult) therefore much failure.

2. Among the places shown in the top 10, I'd like to visit the Galapagos Islands for being a place of our continent, of a pleasant climate, a rich flora and fauna recognized worldwide. And well I prefer to travel to a place like this to an arid place as pyramids of Giza.

3. I think that knowing English is now essential to greater job opportunities and the ability to travel to other countries and not having communication problems when using the universal language as is the English. I would like more activities with themes about our career or otherwise it about health.

Post 4 >> (week 6) Themed Post 2 " Pets "

Hello everybody

On this occasion today I going to talk about my pets, throughout my life I have had few pets, I have not had dogs or cats as most of the people.  My first pet, was a couple of canaries, they were called “Niñito” and “Niñita” by my parents…ehhh yes, very original.

In the future I would like to have a ferret, It is a pet that always struck me, when I have my own home, I would have a ferret because in my parents' house the poor ferret could not enter.

Also I have a terrapin called candy, it is very good to eat and loves to walk in the garden but it is very shy. On the other hand I love the singing of my canaries because gives life to the house sometimes I was listening for a long time.

About of the exotic pets I think if the owner has all the necessary precautions and care should not have any problems. It is now true that the exotic animals are subject to an indiscriminate traffic by unscrupulous people that only search your own benefit, hopefully this will change in the future for the good of animals.

Post 4 (week 6) >> Themed Post 2 " My favorite Sport "

Hello everybody, today I’m going to talk about the tennis, my favorite sports.

As a kid I always liked playing sports, but unfortunately did not have skills for football, the favorite sport of my father but there was a discipline that caught my attention and quickly I felt comfortable by practicing it. That sports for my was the tennis.

I like tennis because it is a complete sport it takes a lot of concentration, skill, patience and intelligence to when playing, each point is a separate story, you can be losing a tie break 5-1 and to turn it around if not just ask at Fernando Gonzalez.

My greatest idols are Roger Federer, Nicolàs Massù, Fernando Gonzalez and the great Marcelo “El Chino” Rìos, the best, the first Latin American to reach the top spot in the world rankings, there you stay, Vilas.

The tennis currently not practical, I do not have the time to train frequently and in a good way, although obviously I would like to do in the future, to remember you how much I like this sport

POST 2 (Week 4) >> The best Holidays/Concert ever

On this occasion I bring my favorites holidays, once again I will speak about the travel to “Torres del Paine”, There are also others trips that I could talk but for me this is the best.

As I told you in the previous post, 3 years ago I travel to Torres del Paine, It went a fascinating journey.  The journey was the summer of 2012, with my family and my cousins.

We arrived at dawn to Punta Arenas and the weather was rainy on our arrival, they were two weeks very hectic with many places to visit, In the first place we visited the fort Bulnes that is located at the exit of Punta Arenas, once in the fort, one can see a nice view to Tierra del Fuego. Also we visited by the side of Argentina the village of El Calafate and then the Glacier Perito Moreno, definitely the best place of the trip. We also went to Mount Fitz Roy and Laguna del desierto. 

There are several places to visit as you may have noticed so... What are you waiting for to travel to the end of the world?

POST 1 (Week 3) >> A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

On this occasion I am going to talk of the XIII Region of Chile. “La Región de Magallanes”

I would like to go back to Punta Arenas and surroundings because I love to your weather, the gastronomy and tourist spots, the last time I went was 3 years ago therefore I hope to return soon. I know part of their culture, for example some legends and locations as the Milodon Cave and the Chair of Diablo. If I had the opportunity to go back there you would on vacation and would visit everything that cannot visit the last time as the other half of the Torres del Paine Park, Land of Fire and Porvenir.

And finally I can tell that I would like to work there, either in a hospital or through my own dental clinic, every day would be happy to work there and I hope that in the near future a reality
